"I wanted to write and tell you how absolutely wonderful Thomas Lloyd, his wife, Bea and his assistant, Andy Welbourne have been to work with these past months! We set out on this dream of buying a place in paradise but not really knowing where to start. After being impressed with Thomas' website, we made an appointment to meet with him our first day there. We immediately knew that we had chosen the right person ... he was friendly, professional and sincere all at the same time and made us feel like he had no where else more important to be! We finally found and decided on our "dream" place and then Bea stepped in with her expertise. She has been an angel to us ... I'm so amazed at the attentiveness and personal touch that this staff has for their clients ... we really feel like we're their most important clients! Back in the U.S. once the sale has been made ... that's when the realtors disappear. Well, absolutely not true with Thomas and his group. They have been there every step of the way to answer questions ... direct us to the next step ... translate things into Spanish for us ... negotiate with the seller to obtain our condo in great condition ...even sent us photos of the condo work in progress! They helped us set up our condo with utilities ... set up a special website for our closing documents and the list just goes on and on! They welcomed us to the Playa way of life and have just treated us like we were part of their family through every step of the buying process!
The fact that we put our trust and our investment into their hands to handle things for us while we were back home just shows how genuine and honest they are. I keep meeting people around town who have purchased property and they are having difficulty with one or another aspect ... all I have to say with a big smile is ... our realtors handled that for us! "A great amount of uncertainty arises when trying to get information and assistance when you are so far from the source. Via internet and phone calls, we gave Thomas our parameters for the type of vacation home we were looking for.
Thomas put together a great dossier that met all our parameters, gave us his undivided attention and drove us around to all the sites and locations. His knowledge of the area was awesome and he found us the perfect place. We now own a beautiful vacation home that is our little piece of paradise.

"We wanted to leave the dark wet winters of England behind and jet off to the sun. After much research we realised that the Caribbean and The Cape Verde islands were the closest areas that truly offered this. We had resigned ourselves to the fact that we would have to endure up to 10 hour flights but reasoned that with a home there we would stop for periods of two to four weeks. In fact the flights were not only bearable but quite enjoyable being entertained on the way out and sleeping most of the way back.
We visited a few of the Caribbean islands and felt that the natives were not that keen on the interlopers. We also visited Cape Verde that just does not live up to the hype in any way. Then we came across web sites on the Mexican Caribbean and sent out some enquiries. Thomas’s site Realty executives was the only one that took time to search for what we were looking for and not what they wanted to sell. The properties offered appeared to fit the bill perfectly at a sensible budget so having checked out flight costs and availability (which were plentiful and reasonable) decided to give it a go. |
We found the local Mexicans to be extremely friendly and welcoming and the climate to be typical Caribbean, with beautiful turquoise seas,
Thomas turned up just as planned and could not have been more helpful. We spent some time visiting properties that were great but in the wrong area or properties that did not suit in lovely areas. However Thomas remained smiling and helpful as ever and kept introducing us to properties that were gradually getting closer to our ideal. Then we found it! A fantastic house in a wonderful location, in fact truly a home in paradise. Surprisingly it was not what either of us had visualised buying and yet it ticked all the boxes. It really showed the value of having local, patient advice and guidance which Thomas certainly has.
We are now about to start altering the property downstairs which will entail getting the builders in, once again Thomas is there offering his assistance to monitor the works for us and sending photographs of progress. This speaks volumes about his integrity as most agents disappear in the dust when the property is bought, whereas Thomas is helpful to the end."
