An official project opening like I’ve never witnessed before.
We drove through the magnificent gateway off the 307 highways and continued on the long winding road in the darkness to entrance pathway to MAREAZUL. The pathway was light by torches and we came to a line of cars…then we knew this was a GRAND event!
As we waited in line to park, we started recognizing familiar faces walking up the pathway and saw the Mayan pillars lit up along the side of road, we knew we’d be approaching soon.
I could start to hear the festive music of beating drums. It provoked a mystical feeling in the air, we were anxious to see what they had arranged for this Fiesta.
As we approached the entrance there was an animated band playing Mexican music.
Shortly following that was a woman and man, standing on raised platforms, dressed in traditional Mayan costumes and role-playing rituals from years past. It was spectacular to take in!
It was my first view of the finished beach club/office/showroom. There was a waterfall feature along the wall and stunning features throughout, designed by an excellent local designer from Argentina (has completed projects here in Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras)
There had to close to 300 in attendance and everyone was enjoying the scrumptious food and drinks.
About an hour into the party, there was an introductory speech elaborating on the company and the international agency involved in promoting, then they lead us outside onto beach for surprise video on the MAREAZUL project and a dazzling light show and fireworks display.
It was obvious this was well planned and a great effort was put into making this a special night. This project is going to something incredibly unique and this beachfront well chosen as it is definitely the most dazzling in the Riviera Maya!
